 Promoted to 1st Degree Brown Belt while stationed with the US Army at Camp Humphreys, Pyeongtaek, South Korea

Studied judo in Japan while assigned to Yokota Air Base, Fussa, Japan

 Promoted to 1st Dan by the German Judo Federation while stationed with the US Air Force at Kaiserslautern Germany

Instructor for the Ramstein American Youth Activity (AYA) Judo program, Kaiserslautern Germany for a year

Assistant judo instructor for 20 years at the United States Military Academy Preparatory School

Presently starting up a judo program at the US Army Garrison Yongsan, Seoul, South Korea
